Rampages in Vancouver’s gentrifying areas have been a consistent occurrence over the last few months. On December 4th, just before 5:00 a.m. North Vancouver RCMP received a report of a man breaking windows at businesses in the Park and Tilford business center. The man was using a modified hockey stick and broke windows of 6 separate business. On November 13th, fourteen car windows and a few windows of business were smashed in New West’s West End overnight near the 1500 block of Dublin Street. On October 16th, during broad daylight 16 vehicles had their tires slashed in North Vancouver. In each case a suspect was arrested but it seems that someone is always prepared to pick up where the last one left off.
